Shannon Sears, Director of Commercial Operations at WCTEL met the Due West Robotics Club at the Daniel-Moultrie Science Center on Erskine’s Campus. The Robotics Club presented their projects from the previous seasons and their plans for the upcoming season. These projects help to develop the students’ problem solving, engineering, and technical skillsets.
Sears said, “These kids are very bright. They are creating things that will help shape our future. I hope they continue to learn and challenge themselves later in life.” WCTEL donated $500.00 towards their upcoming projects and competitions. Charles Angel, Due West Robotics Club President stated, “It is an honor to work with industry and our army of volunteers to provide opportunities for these students to learn about technology and how to apply it to everyday life and beyond. WCTEL has shown our students how the skills they are learning today can benefit them in the future. We are very grateful for all that WCTEL does for the Due West Robotics Club and our community.”
