Jeanette Davis - Greenwood

  Jeanette Hanvey Davis, 76, of 622 Sand Shore Drive, wife of Ken Davis, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center.

  Born in Charleston, SC, she was a daughter of the late Horace H. and Essie Tollison Hanvey. She retired from Boeing and was a member of Waterloo Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was a loving wife and loved her family deeply.

  Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are her stepchildren, Laurie Munroe (Ed), Michael Davis, both of Huntington Beach, CA, and Linda Downing of Ninety Six; a special niece she thought of as a granddaughter, Kaylyn Phillips of Waterloo; brothers, Earnest Hanvey (Mary Ann) of Greenville, Ronnie Hanvey (Belinda) of Pickens, Rodger Hanvey (Cindy) of Dacusville, and Carl Hanvey of Greenville; brother-in-law, Roy Phillips of Waterloo; and nieces and nephews, Wendell Phillips (Tracey) of Taylors, William Phillips of Waterloo, Wanda Johnson (Gaines) of Troy, and Patricia Conwell (Curtis) of Waterloo.

  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jane Phillips and brothers, Andrew Hanvey and Tommy Hanvey.

  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at New Life Baptist Church with Pastor Lee Bates officiating.

  The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Patricia and Curtis, 224 Bob White Drive, Waterloo, SC 29384.

  Harley Funeral Home and Crematory ( is in charge of the arrangements.
